Lighting Up the Sky: Dora de Houghton Carrington

Dora de Houghton Carrington was a British painter and ornamental artist in the course of the Nineteen Thirties. She was generally identified just by her surname. Although posthumously acclaimed, she was not nicely referred to as a painter throughout her lifetime, as she not often exhibited and didn’t signal her work.

She was pricey buddies with the favored English author Lytton Strachey.

When Strachey died of abdomen most cancers in January 1932, Carrington purported that she noticed no function in a life with out him. Dora de Houghton Carrington died by suicide two months later.
